Obituary for James Marlin Frith

James Marlin Frith

Funeral services for Mr. James Marlin Frith of West Monroe, LA will be 1:00pm Friday, January 5, 2018 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Ricky Baker and Rev. David Womack officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the funeral home with Wayne Trichell speaking.

Mr. Frith was born November 8, 1945 in West Monroe, LA and passed from this life on January 2, 2018 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 72. He was an active member of Walnut Grove Methodist Church of West Monroe. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved his grandchildren dearly and had a big heart. He enjoyed spending time with family by the campfire and loved to barbeque.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Narvelle Frith; three brothers, Baby John, Johnny and Jimmy; and one sister, Mildred.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Zelma Frith; one son, Glenn Frith and wife, Kay of Columbia; one daughter, Sabrina Frith; three grandchildren, James, Allen and Randy; one sister, Merlene Adkins; one sister-in-law, Jean Frith of Estillspring, TN; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be James Frith, Allen Frith, Randy Frith, Earl Clark, Steve Johnson and Gary Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Busby of Shreveport.
